I'ma try your techniques, my shoulder is hurting pretty bad, because I do it, do it, do it, do it, and do it over and over again on a soft surface, but when I try to go to a little bit less of a soft surface, like a carpet, my shoulder hurts pretty bad, which makes me lose confidence to roll on any place

This 32 second commercial is better than many science fiction movies. There should be a fan fiction written from the point-of-view of the car.

Day one done, I made it through the beginner and intermediate and a few of the advanced. I’m a 65 yo female and totally new to this type of exercise, I’ve been strength training with weights for the last 8 months and have seen a lot of improvement but I’m ready to add something else into my workouts and this is it. I’m starting slow, starting at beginner but trying the intermediate and advanced moves where I can. I have an old nagging injury to my R wrist but I noticed with the warmup it didn’t bother me quite as much although I may have to modify some of the moves for a while so I don’t aggravate it. I’m excited to see my progression in the moves over time.

This is our natural instinct, everyone is not able to do a muscle-up to climb a wall so in most of the asian countries a fit and healthy boy would somehow climb a wall even if he doesn't know what is parkour. But definitely he will be a lot slower and will get some scratches.

I was trying to learn the front handspring and somehow managed to get a slight knee ligament injury by landing on my feet. Not from this video though I only blame myself. EDIT: For anyone scared of this happening, it happened to me because I landed with my knees too bent, a little too in front of me and with forward momentum. This was because I didn't reach far out enough and bent my knees too much. So just be careful with that

Am i too old to start learning Parkour Answer : NO SAYS THE GUY IN HIS 20s OK, REALITY CHECK !!!! To be in your 20s and say something like "No, as long as you can still walk and move around you can still do parkour" Well... People in the 80s and 90s can move around and walk. RESPECTFULLY...... Let's understand a few things 1. i'm 50 2. No, i don't think i'm old 3. No i don't have the wrong attitude 4. I'm all for positivity and reaching beyond your goals THAT BEING SAID... Around the age of 47 (at least it was for me) to some it happens earlier. and some have said that it happens in their 30,s Personally, i think that's B.S. But a funny thing happens close to 50. But before i mention that. BETWEEN 25-35 YOU ARE IN THE PEAK OF YOUR LIFE, So if you're gonna do Parkour, You do it at 25, by 30 you'll be an animal. and you'll likely go hard up to 40 .....Then you hit 50 and this what a 20 or 30 year old can't understand fully - Your hearing is gonna go on you (I had to have an operation and my ears are good now, but a lot of my friends are losing their hearing) - YOUR EYES ARE GONNA FAIL YOU - a young person can't imagine how impacting this is , Especially when you need to make momentary ACCURATE Decisions based on WHAT YOU SEE - Saying "work up at your own pace is fine" , However this is just a saying. and it means something completely different when you're 50 See... When you're 20 or 30 and you go to GYM, THAT'S A CHOICE. and you can do it or not do it, it doesn't really matter. when you're 50, Gym is not a choice. Gym is something that.... If you don't do it, YOU'RE 60S AND 70S ARE GOING TO BE PAINFUL At 50 you do Gym and work through it so that the rest of your life can be easier. You gain weight easier at 50 The physics of how you move becomes different, YOU FEEL DIFFERENT, YOUR CENTRE OF BALANCE FEELS DIFFERENT. You can't understand this when you're 20 or 30, YOU CAN JUST IMAGINE IT....... But... You're wrong So, i'm not saying a 50 year old can't do it I'M SAYING.........AT 50 IT'S LIMITED - Your muscles hurt more - Your flexibility is shot - Everything takes more effort I notice there was a guy saying........ he's 40 and he just started Parkour LOL........As if to say "I'm old and i've done it" NO.... YOU'RE NOT OLD AT 40.... 40 IS NOTHING of course you can still do parkour at 40 No No..... A Switch gets flipped around 47, 48ish years old and your body starts saying to you if you want to do this, I'm gonna make it really really hard for you. things change You can get hurt much easier Your bones can break with less effort You won't recover as quickly if you do recover or need an operation you are likely to have more complications. if you exert yourself at 50, You are at high risk of dying from heart attack at 40, that's not even a consideration, at 50 its' a reality So.... a guy , 20ish, saying you can start at any age ....YEAHH.......... SORRY..... NO so what you can probably do is some half assed stuff and easier stuff, sure, no doubt about it. Can i still do a flying cat roll over a fence that is around chest or waist height ? YES I CAN, Can i still do sommersault's that i could do on a trampoline when i was in 2nd grade... YES I CAN Can i still climb a tree that is 6 storey's high ... YES I CAN So... sure, there is stuff that you can do But UNDERSTAND SOMETHING CLEARLY a 20ish year old, DOES NOT KNOW what a 50 year old has to go through. How could he know ? So i say , if you're 50 and you want to do parkour GO AHEAD BE CAREFUL THOUGH - Do it for fitness (You'll thank yourself later) - Do it for flexibility (You'll thank yourself later) - Do it for cardio and circulation (You'll definitely thank yourself later) Just don't go jumping from building to building 4 storeys above ground. At 50, You need to be very careful when taking a risk because that risk can just change the rest of your life in a heartbeat. SO... PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND But, NO... don't give up by any means BUT DO UNDERSTAND THE REALITY OF, AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE 50 AND THE LIMITATIONS OF IT
